EleVen is looking for a dynamic Senior Manager of Logistics & Operations to drive operational excellence and ensure a seamless logistical experience for all our goods and services, from the production process to when they arrive at our end customers’ doors.

Working with the COO the Senior Manager will be responsible for the development of global strategies and execute plans for fulfillment, transportation, freight consolidation, freight forwarding programs, and trade compliance for EleVen by Venus Williams globally.

The Sr Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our 3PL and ensure the timely, accurate, and efficient receipt of all shipments, while also ensuring that distribution strategy evolves with our merchandise offering and that our carrier and supplier base, processes, and systems scale to meet business needs. The ideal candidate is a motivated and quantitatively savvy individual who is as comfortable rolling their sleeves up as they are working cross-functionally on strategic initiatives that optimize the customer experience for cost, consistency and speed. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of CSR team and 3PL provider
  • Weekly update and communicate the delivery schedule
  • Ensuring all pre-season and delivery checks are completed in advance of delivery window, including review of payment terms, PO#, and customer PDS requirements.
  • Partner with the production team and 3rd party factories to coordinate imports/exports
  • Responsible for ERP data management and ensuring accurate data flow
  • Responsible for managing CSR team to maintain Item Master Lists and UPC catalogs
  • Establishes and manages the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for global ocean, air, forwarding, and courier contracts. Assists where needed in bidding out local ground/LTL/TL contracts.
  • Manages the performance of international carriers and logistics intermediaries.
  • Monitors, measures, and reports on global transportation and customs spend
  • Works with Sales, Account Services, and Sourcing groups to identify and implement higher value-added and/or lower-cost logistics approaches. Adopts innovative concepts which create faster or more reliable deliveries, or lower costs to EleVen or EleVen customers and partners.
  • Develops logistics and customs compliance strategies and processes for active markets as well as for entering new markets globally.
  • KPI and Scorecard Reporting - Develop comprehensive scorecard metrics, analyze for potential opportunities, and present with the senior leadership team.
  • Perform analyses to determine key areas of investment and implement/oversee Global Trade Preference Program that includes a review of Free Trade Agreements, tariff relief, duty suspension, and strategic sourcing elements
  • Gathers information on global transportation news, trends, and events; ensures all appropriate personnel are informed and involved.
  • Works across departmental lines to leverage, motivate, and set leadership direction for direct reports and non-reports.
  • Working alongside Finance, liaising with customers regarding Proforma Payments
  • Provide the finance team with quarterly inventory/stock reports
  • Oversee and manage logistics budget including trackers and supplier invoices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5+ years experience in logistics and operations
  • Knowledge of international supply chain processes, carriers, third-party logistics companies, forwarders, couriers, and transportation performance measures
  • Apparel brand experience a plus
  • Ability to think strategically, creatively, and analytically
  • Detail-oriented and self-starter
  • Ability to work with different cultures
  • Ability to build effective teams and to develop talent
  • Deep understanding of standard WMS, E-Commerce, and ERP systems
  • ApparelMagic Cloud, SPS Commerce, Shopify knowledge is a plus
