Product Development and Production Coordinator (LA based)
Responsibilities:
Follow up with Trim Supplies and Factories to coordinate Raw Materials for Seasonal SMS and Production including Preparing Trim Pull Sheets and delivery receipts for contractors.
Purchasing of trims for bulk production such as Heat Transfers, Care Labels, Price Tickets and UPC Stickers, Hang Tags, Elastics, Etc. and arranging to Local and Off-Shore vendors. Monitoring Inventory Levels to ensure enough raw material on hand at all times for production. Ensuring Trim Raw Material Inventory is Up to date and managing trims inventory documents.
Trims Development for Mainline and special collections including testing on various sportswear fabrics.
Supporting manager with PD assignments as needed including wear, wash testing projects.
Maintaining Domestic and Import WIP reports including and not limited to checking in Fit samples and SMS. Following up with vendors as needed for update status on samples.
Daily communication with factories to help support Head of Production and QC troubleshoot any production issues that might arise. Factory errands as needed including picking up trims and dropping off at factory.
Assisting Head of Department and QC with coordinating Patterns, Fabrics, and trims for seasonal sample developments.
Sample coordination for the company including checking in SMS samples, Managing SMS inventory at all times, coordinating samples for Sales, Accounts, and Marketing Teams, Special Projects on daily basis as needed. Also, assisting tech with maintaining fit racks.
Sending and Receiving packages on daily basis in the office and preparing international documents as required. Maintaining Sample Log and tracking inbound and outbound parcels and distributing samples to Tech, PD, and Production as needed.
Generate UPC Files, maintain PDP Files and updating fabric/specs/care instructions on files as needed based on changes throughout the development cycle for Cross-Functional visibility and support.
Skillset in Excel and being able to compare files to ensure accuracy and ensure PD updates are made in a timely fashion.
Who you are:
You have an Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree specializing in a relevant field of fashion, textiles, garment construction and or 1-3 years relevant work experience in fashion product development and/or production.
You have basic knowledge of fabrics and trims, and specs.
You are versed in Excel and are able to to basic formulas for inventory management and PDP file purposes.
You have are a self-starter, a can do attitude, are a go-getter, excellent at multi-tasking, quick learner, a problem solver and enjoy working in person with vendors and hands on in a fun, and dynamic environment.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are energized by working with local and off-shore vendors.
Have a CA driver’s license and are available to visit contractors as needed for weekly production in downtown LA and El Monte.
