Our Goals For You

  • To help you make health and informed nutrition choices
  • To encourage you to be mindful about what you’re putting into your body
  • To help you find a diet that’s right for your body and lifestyle
  • To nourish not only your physical self, but also the mental and emotional
  • To embrace and enjoy taking care of yourself

1. CONSUME LOTS OF GREEN VEGETABLES

Both raw and cooked vegetables are great, but we encourage eating vegetables RAW as much as possible. Why? Raw foods still have the life force and living enzymes intact. They tend to be higher in micronutrients and lower in calories.

2. MAINTAIN PROPER pH LEVELS

Why? It is important for the body’s blood pH level to be slightly alkaline versus acidic in order to promote a healthy, healing environment.  An acidic body is corrosive, creating free radical damage that can cause damage to tissue and DNA. Click here to find out how to alkalize your body.

3. LIMIT MEATS, DAIRY & ACID-FORMING FOODS

Limit meats, hormone-free dairy, mucus and acidic forming foods (wheat and gluten products form mucus). Gluten is a protein constituent of wheat and other grains, (wheat/rye/barley/and some oats).

4. MAINTAIN GOOD COLON HEALTH

Good colon health is crucial to long-term health. Why? Because with more than 70% of our immune system in our gut, the digestive system plays a major role in our body’s immunity. More that 70% of our immune system is in the gut. Keeping a proper balance of beneficial bacteria and having proper elimination is essential to our body’s ability to absorb and assimilate the nutrients from our food for energy. Click here to learn how to maintain good colon health.

5. STAY HYDRATED

Over 60% of our body is water: our brain alone is 70%, our lungs 90% and lean muscle tissue contains about 75%. Proper hydration is key to lubricating our cells, flushing out toxins and impurities and obtaining an optimal metabolism. To keep your cells happy and hydrated, we recommend drinking half your weight in ounces per day of purified water.

6. DRINK GREEN JUICE

Green Juices are a great way to alkalize the body, boost hydration and give your body a huge boost of vitamins and minerals in one sitting. It’s also low in calories.

7. BE A CONCIOUS CONSUMER

When shopping or eating out, choose foods that are: ORGANIC, HORMONE-FREE and FREE-RANGE, whenever possible.

8. USE MODERATION

Like anything in life, moderation is key. Use the mantra: "Not too much, Not too often’ for anything and everything you put in your body.

9. PRACTICE PORTION CONTROL

Energy comes from the nutrients in food, not the calories. When you limit the number of calories and focus on increasing nutrient-dense foods into your diet, your body is primed for healing. If the body is constantly working on digestion, it spends less time on detoxifying the tissue. To aid in this process, we recommend eating only until you’re 75% full, each time you sit down for a meal.

10. ACHIEVE PROTEIN BALANCE

Protein stabilizes blood sugar levels and wards off hunger longer after you. Eat a small amount of protein rich foods every time you eat and, most importantly, avoid excess intake. Most women should aim for about 11-13 grams of protein 4 times a day. Men should consume about 14-20 grams, 4 times a day.

11. SUPPLEMENT WHEN NEEDED

Sometimes it can be difficult to consume as many nutrients as our body needs in a day. Liquid protein drinks are a great way to supplement your daily intake of protein, nutrients and water. Not to mention they're easily digestible, easy to make and delicious!
