No Fried or Fast Food For 30 Days!
After having the assessment with Sam and Venus, I realized that my two biggest challenges were eating right and staying consistent with my work-outs. This month, my eating has been the biggest change. I haven’t had fried chicken or French fries for over 30 days. I haven’t had “fast food” in over 30 days. Thinking about those small accomplishments makes me proud- and that is only the beginning. I’ve tried to have fresh fruits and/or veggies at every meal. I had zucchini pasta (courtesy of my roommate)- never in my life did I think I would have zucchini pasta, and I love it! I went grocery shopping last week to plan out my meals and that is the first time I have done that for at least a year. I know that is really pathetic to admit, but it’s true. Which is why doing these seemingly simple and common sense steps towards a healthy lifestyle really are major changes for me. I’m not going to pretend like I haven’t had pizza or an occasional guilty pleasure meal (mostly pizza), but I’m starting to feel like these healthy food choices are becoming second nature.
Today I made my first green smoothie! Venus pinned a recipe on her EleVen Pinterest page- delish! A little trial and error, I think less ice more water tomorrow!
