Celebrating Father’s Day
It’s nearly Father’s Day, which means it is time to honor the amazing dads in our lives.
Many people know that my dad taught me how to play tennis. He had a dream, and he instilled that dream in me. He not only taught me how to play the game, he also gave me the self-belief to pursue and live out my dreams, which I’ve been doing for years, on tennis courts all around the world. I’m just back from competing in Paris and Rome, and I am incredibly grateful every day for being given the gift of tennis.
But my dad taught me so much more than how to play tennis. He also instilled in me an entrepreneurial mindset — which is a big reason why I started my own company, EleVen. In our home growing up, we weren't allowed to “just” be athletes — we had to be students, and were encouraged to be business-savvy, too. Thanks to this background, I pursued my love for fashion by studying and earning a degree in fashion design. I then launched EleVen, all based on the mission to help people look and feel better than their best.
What about your dad? Has your dad shared with you a skill? What are some the best life lessons you learned from your father? Father’s Day is the perfect time to reflect on how your dad, or another father figure in your life, has made a lasting contribution to who you are and help you be better than your best.
One great way to celebrate dad is to get out and be active together on Father’s Day. Whether it’s tennis, golf or going for a run, spending an active day with dad can be a great way to celebrate Father’s Day. And of course, EleVen has everything you need - from great leggings and shorts to a wide array of tanks and dresses - for whatever activity you choose.
Happy Father’s Day!
