Getting Ready For Wimbledon
Greetings from London and the week leading into the Grand Slam grass tourmanent I love!
This will be my 18th Wimbledon - can you believe it?
Practice this week has been steady and scheduled - I got to play with some other WTA players I enjoy, like Tatjana Maria, so that's always fun to mix up the hitting partners.
I even practiced on grass back home in Florida which I hadn't done in a long time. I always say you feel most confident when you've done the work and are prepared, so that was my focus this year.
Getting ready for competition also includes eating healthy, whole foods which nourish my body. This soup is one of my recent favorites - Roasted Cauliflower and Kale soup. Sharing the recipe here - it's really easy to make, is filling and so good for you!
This year marks a very special milestone for both Wimbledon and one of my idols, Arthur Ashe. It's the 40th Anniversary of his win at the all England Club in 1975, and he was the first black man to win this title. Nelson Mandela was in prison when Ashe won this at 32 years old, and he was one of the first people Mandela asked to meet upon his release from 27 years of incarceration.

Wimbledon is all about WHITE, so I will be pulling a dress and some separates from my current Summer collection. Fleur Du Monde.
Expect to see the white version of the French Open Dress, Double Cross Tank and Flutter Skirt, amongst other pieces from Summer '15.
Thanks all - see you next week from the grass!
