Fashion, Golf and Creating Your Own Style
I am a professional golfer on the LPGA Symetra and Canadian Tour. I'm known on tour for having a "passion for fashion". Just like most woman that enjoy getting dressed-up to go to the office, I enjoy getting dressed-up to go to the golf course, which is really like, my office. I find it easy and fun to bring tennis fashion onto the golf course.
Venus Williams is a fashion and sports icon, one I've admired since I was a little girl. Like Venus, I trained for golf at the IMG Sports Academy in Bradenton, Florida. I remember watching her practice and compete, and being inspired. I really connected with her sense of fashion on the court, and then taking that a step further and creating her own line so she could bring more style to the game! I push those boundaries too and often wear unconventional golf outfits when I play. Tennis dresses are perfect in golf, why not? They're comfortable while still being flattering to my body. I can swing my club and not be a bad-golf-fashion-victim! Win-win! Tennis fashion allows me to go from the golf course to the office to a friend's birthday party.
For me, golf is more than a sport, it's a lifestyle that allows me to travel the world, meet new people, challenge myself through competition, build business relationships and design golf fashion. I hope that I can inspire other woman to learn golf and go after their dreams while looking fabulous. Whatever sport you're in, wear what makes you look good, feel good and perform at your best. It's okay to step over traditional sports attire lines
Swing in style!
