Do a Lil’ Something Strange for a Lil’ Change!

When you change the little things, and stay consistent, is typically when you will see the greatest results. Well, I have a recipe that I love to drink in the mornings and its shining star ingredient is the warm, bitter, mildly fragrant rhizome called Turmeric.

This anti-inflammatory root of the Curcuma Longa plant is amazing for internal use yet also a stellar skin tightening and brightening facial mask! Known as the Indian Saffron due to its deep yellow-orange color, which is also the main ingredient that gives curry, it’s color. As most of you know from experience, this root also makes for an excellent dye - it is truly a pain in the you know what to get curry stains out of clothes thanks to our dear friend Turmeric.

Ok so besides all that Turmeric is also is a strong cancer fighter, it relieves arthritis, helps with fibroids, lowers cholesterol and makes you look damn good while doing it!

So guys, get rid of any bloat by drinking this energizing, anti-inflammatory, fat burning and hormone balancing tonic whenever you see fit!

Indian Summer

Serves 4-6

  • 2 quarts of water
  • 2 lemons squeeze
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon of maca root powder
  • a pinch of cayenne pepper
  • grade B maple syrup to taste

Directions:

Add ingredients into a blender and pulse until all ingredients are fully incorporated and enjoy!
